RMOA
In the past year, Bureau REACH finalised the Regulatory Management Options Analysis (RMOA) for the group of enzymes.
The associated conclusion document has now been published by ECHA on its website (CD enzymes). Based on a risk of allergic reactions through inhalation, we recommend the application and exchange of ‘good practices’ between sectors for the professional use of products containing enzymes.
In addition, Bureau REACH concludes that it is desirable to include an EUH warning statement on all formulations and products containing enzymes, regardless of concentration. This warning on the packaging will alert users to the presence of enzymes, enabling them to take appropriate precautionary measures to prevent or limit exposure via inhalation.
